Radio minute: Obstruction
February 18, 2026
Obstruction is the word of the month for Liberals accusing Conservatives of delaying the Budget Implementation Act.
Do not be fooled – the Liberals are obstructing their own budget by quietly inserting a poison pill within the 600 pages of this omnibus bill. That gives Ministers absolute power to negotiate with any domestic or foreign actor while circumventing any law in Canada outside of the Criminal Code.
They want authority of a king rather than responsibility as a servant of the people of Canada. No oversight, accountability, transparency, or due process.
We worked quickly to pass C-5, the Building Canada Act, with improvements. We succeeded in moving forward C-14, bail reform, while they tried to delay it with overreach in C-9.
Meanwhile, they brag on the high-cost, low-return bandages they’re applying to the growing affordability crisis while the Prime Minister actually warned even this week, “you may need to sacrifice more.”
But you know: every sacrifice you’ve made has been forced on you by this government’s overreach and obstruction.
