Radio minute: Saskatchewan protects firearms ownership
April 29, 2026
While the federal Liberals continue to criminalize law abiding firearms owners, I want to recognize the Saskatchewan Government for taking concrete steps to protect hunters, farmers, sport shooters, and collectors by enabling eligible owners of newly prohibited firearms to continue storing their property with a certificate of exemption – under strict legal conditions – while compensation remains unresolved.
This common-sense measure protects Canadians from being forced to unfairly surrender lawfully acquired property. An appraisal process is also being created so firearms owners can determine the true value of their property and fight for fair compensation, rather than what Ottawa dictates.
Your federal Conservatives believe that instead of targeting licensed firearms owners, the federal government should be prosecuting criminals, gangs, and handgun smugglers at the border.
Saskatchewan is, once again, leading the way.
I’ll continue standing with responsible firearms owners, defending your rights, your property, and common sense.
