Veterans Committee: PCVRS is anything but voluntary

Telling Veterans that the PCVRS rehabilitation program is voluntary is like telling law-abiding firearms owners they have a “voluntary” opportunity to have their firearms confiscated.

I’ve heard from Veterans who were satisfied with the rehabilitation services they received prior to PCVRS. They’ve told me that their care and support will be discontinued unless they go through an entirely new assessment – one they aren’t even allowed to see.

Veterans Affairs Canada is already backlogged with its files. It has only created more complications for Veterans who were content with their care and are now being re-traumatized and threatened unless they transfer over to the PCVRS.

Veterans deserve better.
