Veterans Committee: PCVRS problems

April 1, 2026

Problems persist with Veterans Affairs Canada’s Rehabilitation Services program (PCVRS).

For too many Veterans, the assessment process remains shrouded in secrecy. Often, their sensitive information is shared with rehabilitation providers without Veterans even being able to see it first.

Meanwhile, while spouses of seriously injured Veterans would only benefit from the PCVRS, only 55 spouses and survivors were approved as of March 2024. That’s 55 out of 12,609 clients of the rehabilitation program.

I had the chance last week to seek answers and accountability from the Minister and the Veterans Ombud.
